I have seen retailer co like say Kao and Lion have outsourced their marketing dept by giving it to a 3rd party to distribute their goods

I know it has created lots of prob... But why they still wanna outsource it? Confused

I'm confused. Marketing and Distribution are different matters.
Are you saying that their Marketing is outsourced and the company handling it is doing a bad job marketing the product or are you saying that their appointed Distributor is not doing their job distributing their product

For Lion, I do know that they have their own internal Marketing department

Lion, I know most of the SKU range are given to PSC to distribute the products (I know some Kodomo and Shukubutsu PSC didn't take, partly because of low sales vol)

No No... Like I know Kao, they gave it to a distributer... Goods return is the most headache, return say 4 ctn of Attack (Box type, no longer in production) they dun wanna collect cost each credit note they are paid $10 regardless of the qty... Isn't it creating lower efficiency?

Let me see if I'm understanding you correctly.
If they do not collect back the returns from whichever supermarket, but advised Kao that there are these returns, they are still being paid $10 per credit note regardless of the qty?

Am I correct to saya that even if they collected the returns, they are still paid $10?

No, only when they take the job then they are paid $10

Well, it could be that the effort involved to collect and get rid of the product is not worth $10 and it is cheaper to get the stores to throw away the items.
